The Maria Soteras i Mauri legal award has been established to honor the memory of colleague Maria Soteras i Mauri, the first female lawyer to be registered at the Illustrious Bar Association of Barcelona in 1927 and the first female practicing lawyer in Catalonia. 2.- Participants. All members of the Illustrious College of Lawyers of Barcelona may compete for the award except the: to. who have participated in another legal award organized by this Corporation during 2023, b. members of the Governing Board, workers and non-teaching collaborators of the prize for this contest is wortCharacteristics of the works in competition. The award is intended to reward a legal work or article on gender equality, from the perspective of any branch of Law: civil, labor, criminal (including sexist violence), etc.he characteristics of the works or articles presented to the contest must be the following: to. The text or work must be original, unpublished and written in Catalan or Spanishhe works or articles presented may be owned by one author or two co-author The submitted works will have a maximum length of 10,500 words ocharacters.
The format of the works must be DIN typed double-spaced and on one side only. 5.- Deadline and place of presentation. The works, together with the corresponding standardized application, must be submitted to the General Registry of the headquarters of the Illustrious Bar Association of Barcelona. The deadline for the presentation of works will be April 3, 2024 until 8:00 p.m. For those works submitted by certified mail, the date Industry Email List of the postmark will be considered. 6.- Form of presentation of the works. The works or articles will be delivered on paper and in triplicate; and, they will have to be presented inside a large postal envelope without folding the pages of the work. Likewise, another copy of the work or article in electronic format will be attached. Inside the aforementioned large envelope, a smaller, closed envelope will also be placed, in which the name of the author or co-authors and a declaration, signed by the author or co-authors of the document, will be recorded.

The Jury will especially value the novelty, original or controversial nature of the topic developed in the works submitted to the competition, as well as its future legal, theoretical and practical significance. The Jury may declare void the call for the award if it considers that the different works presented do not meet the required quality.
